Why Using The GaryVee Approach To Personal Branding Works

A quote that you need to utilize if you want to build your personal brand into something that can make you money.

The ability to be loud is something that doesn’t come naturally. Especially for us introverted people.

You have to be an open book and let your followers in. You need to share things that embarrass you and you need to do it often.

The single most important thing about building a personal brand is honesty.

Honesty builds loyalty and loyalty sells.

Think of the people you connect with and admire. All of them have opened themselves and hidden nothing.

This is because people can smell bullshit from a mile away.

If someone is faking their brand, everyone can tell.

They won’t have the same passion or the same motivation and they’ll fail to build the relationship with their followers that a sustainable personal brand needs.

Not only did this show who I was but it allowed me to communicate critical lessons that a large portion of people experience.

It gave me something for people to relate to.

If you’re going to build a personal brand, be open.

Then you can use that to be louder than your competitors.

The thing about a personal brand is you can’t half-ass it. You can’t upload content when you feel like it and you can’t go for days without being active.

You need to do it constantly and you need to do it for a long time.

Which a lot of people are already doing…

Pumping out content and engaging with social media but you could easily do more.

Have you ever looked at how often they’re doing it and noticed that the level of interaction they’re doing could be easily beaten?

For example, someone who’s going hard might be uploading 2 images to social media. It’s really not that hard to do 3 or 4. Or commenting on 10 Medium articles instead of 5.

Putting in that little extra effort puts you in front.

I’ll show you a couple of examples:

The reason I pick these 2 is they’re both very strong personal brands but one is louder than the other.

Gary, on the other hand, I can’t fucking walk from my bedroom to the kitchen without seeing something from him. He’s everywhere. He updates his Instagram about 20 times per day and it’s no different on every other social platform.

He’s loud.

You can’t miss him.

Regardless of whether you like him or not, you’ve heard of him.

Now, I understand he has a full team helping him out but that doesn’t mean that you can’t put in more effort.

If you want to get noticed and skyrocket your following you need to be louder than everyone else.

The thing about GaryVee is that a large portion of people hate him and they actively tell people but this helps him too.

Whether you hate him or not, you’re still talking about him.

You’re still promoting him.

This is why getting over the little voice in your head that’s saying ‘Shut up, you’re annoying’ becomes so important.

Keep pushing your message and from this day forward do it more than you ever have.

It’s the only way to rise above the noise.
