THE STORY OF THE SPARROW

A sparrow in a tree with snow on the tree branches.

Julianne Moore tells the story to Sylvester Stallone while he is waiting at the bank. I will say no more.

I like this story. I tell people about it during conversation sometimes. We have a good laugh. I’m sure it has deeper origins than the movie but I'm too lazy to Google it. I consider being lazy one of my strengths. I find the quickest and easiest way to get the job done which defines efficiency. See I am telling you being lazy is efficient which equates to strength.

This story and similar ones are entertaining. There is a gold nugget at the end which is the lesson to be learnt and applied in your own life. Have you heard the story of the little sparrow? It is a cute story. If you haven’t here it goes …

Once upon a time, there was a little sparrow from Siberia. He was flying south for the winter to escape the cold. He froze and fell to the ground. To make matters worse a passing cow crapped on him. The cow crap was all hot and steamy. It made him feel warm and fuzzy. It defrosted him. He was so so happy to be alive that he started to sing. A hungry cat hears the singing. He finds the sparrow. He cleans off the cow crap and then eats the little fella.

The moral to the story is everyone who craps on you is not necessarily your enemy, everyone who gets you out of the crap is not necessarily your friend and if you are warm and happy no matter where you are you should just shut the f*ck up …
