Nowadays one of the biggest challenges is how to deal with depression. Day by day the number of victims is increasing rapidly.

Depression is a mental disorder having indications like abrupt mood swings, less interested in daily life’s activity, constant hopelessness and moreover feeling low in one’s end.

The person who is struggling with depression, it is very hard for him/her to work smoothly, sleep soundly, eat properly even one can’t maintain one’s balanced social life.

Chronic depression can cause damage to the nervous system and in some cases critical damages to the brain.

How to keep yourself happy

In this age of the internet, we can make ourselves happy easily. find out some types of content which gave you immense pleasure in normal life, and then go and watch those things, it could be comedy shows, could be some web series and whatever it could be. The thing is to keep in mind that one should resist oneself from consuming alcohol or narcotic elements, even from pornography. Those things can provide you temporary happiness but it can worsen your physical health as well as mental health more badly.

Don’t leave yourself free. Always keep yourself busy.even if it is very difficult to bring yourself into action, but it is necessary to force yourself to defeat the negative energy working within you. There are too many options like you may go for cooking, gardening, drawing, etc. There are many options but it’s up to you in which you would like to spend time easily.

Give up the egoistic mentality

One of the main reasons for getting depressed is the hostile environment of your surroundings. It may be from your family relationships, from professional relationships and whatever relationship you are pursuing. And many times it is observed that our ego is the main culprit for this unbalanced relationship. It is very hard to give up your ego instantly but if you can detect yourself as an egotistic person then you can definitely overcome it.

Hold on, let me explain. Look, I always believe in bouncing back against the circumstance. If the circumstance is trying to make you vulnerable and fragile, then it is your responsibility to go against the wind to consolidate ourselves, and for this, you have to force yourself. I know at that time it is even difficult to sit down at one place for a single minute. But I would suggest just try to start it even for the smallest duration like 30 seconds, 40 seconds and then try to increase the time duration gradually, if you are still facing difficulties then you can listen to some peaceful yoga music while doing the meditation or practicing mental concentration. Just start it otherwise you can’t gain anything.

Be open to your nearest and dearest one

Previously we discussed about our ego problem. Now I tell you to be frank to your nearest and dearest friend, if not possible then be open to your parents, always remember that your parents are always with you, it doesn’t matter how good and bad you are.

It is an extension of the above point( MAKE YOURSELF BUSY). Believe me, if all the above options seem to bogus and you are getting desperate, listen to me go outside of your home and do some charity. If the financial condition doesn’t permit you to do so, don’t stop yourself, go clean the nearby temple’s(your religious place) surroundings, or clean your nearby drainage system or help some poor guy in whatever way you can afford. Trust me it may show you a new meaning of your life.
